Frequently asked questions
Is there a children's play area?
We do not have a children’s play area on site. However, guests can make use of our free pump track, and we also have a zipline available at an additional cost.
Do we have any hard standing pitches?
We do have a small number of hardstanding pitches available. As these are limited, we recommend booking early. Please call or email us to check availability and arrange your booking.
Are BBQ’S allowed?
Yes but they must be off the ground.
Is there fridge/freeze facilities on site?
There is no fridge available for guest use. We do have a freezer for ice packs only, but it cannot be used for food storage.
Do you have to pay for the showers?
No showers and toilets are free of charge.
Is there a launderette on site?
There is no launderette on site.
Do you have a phone charging facility?
Yes, phones can be charged on site for a small additional cost.
Are supermarket or any other deliveries permitted on site?
No, supermarket or other deliveries cannot be accepted on site.
Do you allow stag and hen parties?
We do not accept stag or hen parties, as Lee Meadow is a quiet, family-friendly campsite.
Can we bring our own fire pits and logs?
No. Due to insurance requirements, only our own fire pits, logs and kindling are permitted on site.
How close is the nearest beach?
Woolacombe Beach is around a 5 to 10-minute drive from the campsite, and Lee Bay is approximately a 25-minute walk away.
Is there a pub near by?
The Grampus Arms, Lee Bay is a 25 minute walk.
Do we allow dogs?
Yes, they must always be on a lead and never left on site alone.
Do you have quiet times?
Yes, from 11pm until 7am
Is there a shop or food available on site?
Yes, we have a licensed farm shop on site, and during high season we also serve hot food throughout the day and into the evening.
What time can we check in?
Between 12pm – 6.30pm for standard pitches. Check in times for our Bell tents are between 2pm and 6.30pm.
What time is check out?
10am for all pitches.
Can I arrive late or early?
Early or late arrivals may be possible, but these must be arranged with reception in advance of your arrival date. Please note that an additional charge may apply.
Do you take group bookings?
Families are very welcome. However, we do not accept large same-sex groups, in order to maintain the quiet, family-friendly atmosphere of the site.
Do you except dogs in your bell tents?
Yes but there is an extra charge.
Do the bell tents come with an electric hook up?
No, we do provide a battery pack to charge your phones.
Can we pitch next to our friends or family?
We always try our best to get pitches together, but we can never guarantee this.
Do you allow radios or music?
No, this is a quiet site.
